WebBBS is, as the name implies, a Web-based bulletin board. Unlike most other such boards, though, WebBBS stores messages as simple text files and creates HTML pages "on the fly." This means that the message index can be tailored by the user based on date and/or subject (via built-in keyword search capability), and can be viewed as either a chronological or a threaded list. It also means that administration is a breeze! WebBBS supports automatic quoting of message text and e-mail notification of those who want to know immediately when a new message has been posted. It also offers an archive-only option and "cookie" support!

Dialogue Forums is a discussion-group program. The program supports threads, multiple forums and multiple user permission levels. It comes with an integrated administrative interface to keep check of users and since it is written in Perl it is easily modifiable to fit into other applications or alternative layouts. At present it uses MS Access as a data store, but since it is built around libraries it is also easy to convert to Unix, and of course to any database which is supported by ODBC.

Can't decide whether you want a counter that uses inline images or a text based counter using server side includes. With our counter you get both! This counter also can count (if you want) unique hits only. This way, one person can add only one hit to the total count producing a more accurate counter.

Hitmatic is a Website Hit Counter & Statistics system. By using HTML tags on your web pages, the system maintains detailed counts of hits to each page, day and month for a year. It also supports tracking groups of pages. When a browser loads one of these pages it expects to receive a graphic from the URL in the tag. Instead, the URL runs Hitmatic which counts and categorizes the hit, does some maintenance stuff and finally creates the graphic (an X-Bitmap) and outputs it to the browser.

LogCount cgi is a versatile FREE-to-use Unix web site counter script written for Perl 5. The counter script is not large, allows you to use your own images, and includes several handy features enabling it to control all the hit logging needs of most web sites. LogCount can also count with a time display, or show the time without counting. Also supplied is a separate basic log viewer, LogLook, which easily displays a colour coded track of each visitors page hits. LogCount can be called from an Image Source tag, a Hyperlink tag, or a Server Side Include tag. The latter allows you to 'include' the output as normal text on a web page if your server allows SSI calls.

This is a very versatile counter. It can be used with Server Side Includes (SSI) or by a simple HTML image tag. The SSI method allows for more display options, such as plain text output, which can then be manipulated by the HTML markup of the web page. On the other hand, the image tag method can be used to put counters in HTML documents residing on remote web sites. You can even embed a VersaCounter in virtual HTML documents produced by other CGI scripts. With SSI operation the script outputs ordinary text/html to the server, which then parses it into the web page. For the text counter style this output is plain text, with an optional preset hyperlink around the hit count. For the graphical counter styles the script replaces the hit count with an HTML image tag pointing to the GIF image of the counter, saved as another file on the server. It can also block against consecutive reloads and optionally log visitor's info.
